And when we talk about Saudi Arabia and Iran, we're going to see the degree to which British influence was almost paramount in both of these countries. They didn't occupy them, but they had enormous influence even after World War I. So that's one of the reasons why I stop at World War I or the immediate aftermath of World War I in the middle of this course.
