One of the great ironies of the changes that have taken place in the Middle East over the past 30 or 40 or 50 years is that income inequality has probably increased significantly. The regimes that dominated the Middle East in, I don't know, starting maybe in the '50s, running through maybe the '80s, significantly decreased income inequality.
