Transcript excerpt
Excerpt from the lesson transcript
When you learn this history, you will quickly realize that the Israeli occupation of Palestine isn't an isolated story. It's part of a much bigger one, a story of Western empires that stretch from medieval popes to current presidents. For centuries, they try to frame this conflict as a religious one, that they're defending Western civilization, that Palestine is a battleground for a higher cause.
